What would your favorite bar be like without your favorite bartender? You can't have Cheers without Woody, Sam, Carla or Rebecca, and you certainly can't have your local watering-hole without those special drink fillers. Knowing this, we've decided to feature a different local bartender each week and share who they are with you.

How long have you worked at Café 13?

1 year.

 

Have you bartended anywhere else?

Yeah, I was at Flo Lounge.

 

What is the most requested drink?

People tend to order a lot of Gray Goose and Red Bull.

 

What is your favorite drink to drink?

 I love Kettle One and Club Soda or an Irish Car Bomb.

 

Where did you learn to bartend?

 I was a waitress for many years and then decided to learn how to bartend.

 

What’s your biggest pet peeve with bar-goers?

When people order their drinks backwards, an example would be people ordering Cranberry Vodka when it should be a Vodka Cranberry.

 

What do you like most about bartending?

The socialization!!!!

 

Do you know any bar tricks?

No, I am not talented in those ways, just order a drink.

 

Has anyone ever asked you for a martini ‘shaken not stirred?’

All the time!!!!

 

Have you seen Coyote Ugly?

Yeah, and I don’t dance on bars.

 

What’s the craziest experience you’ve had while working?

A customer got so drunk that the attempted to bite the floor.

 

What do you like to do when you’re not bartending?

I like to go to baseball games, also love to hang out with my son.

 

What do you want to do in the future?

I just graduated with my journalism degree and now I want to get into designing and creating web pages.  I would like to work for a magazine and design the layout.

 

If you could tell customers anything you wanted, what would it be?

Depends on the day and the customers, each customer is unique and you have to reach accordingly.
