What is the significance of your name? 

My real name is James Wester so I just took the er off the end because it has a better ring to it.

 

How did you get it?

A friend of mine said it one day and it sounded great to me.

 

What kind of music do you like to play the most?

Many forms of house.

 

What made you interested in DJ-ing?

Going out to the clubs when I was younger and falling in love with the music

 

How long have you been a DJ?

10 years

 

Where are your favorite venues to spin at?

Cayman Islands, Amsterdam and Seattle.

 

Outside of work, do you ever go out to clubs?

Yes, I love to hear other djs styles and hang with good people.

 

Do you take music requests?

No.

 

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen while you were working?

Having the turntables keep cutting out, but the crowd did not get mad, they stayed until the problem stopped and started dancing again when the music came back, I loved that.

 

What’s been your biggest gig so far?

Playing for a couple thousand at Ultra.

 

When you are up there, do you have a playlist or do you read the crowd?

I read the crowd and go through a few different styles of house with them as needed.

 

Best DJ experience?

Opening for Benny Benassi and the crowd just being totally into the set as much as I was, the more I jumped, the more they jumped.

 

Do you prefer playing at clubs or bigger events?

Clubs, I feel it is more personal with the crowd.

 

With so much music now a days have you gone to Serato or do you still carry the old fashion milk crates?

I play CDs.

 

What DJs do you look up to?  

Carl Cox,Sasha, Digweed, Frankie Knuckles.

 

What’s the 1 song that you can also play that will make everyone dance?

Jesse Perez- Rollertech

 

If there is one song that describes you, which one would it be?

Jude Sebastian- Rubberman (Miles Dyson remix)

 

Are you associated with or are you part of any groups in the music industry?

Audiopilots, I am the owner.

 

Would you or do you work with any radio station in the Tampa Bay area?

I have played on 88.5 a couple of times.

 

What are your future plans?

I am working in the studio nonstop coming up and seeing the world some in the process.
