Tampa's hub of the dive bar scene. This place serves up strong drinks and the best of low-scale atmospheres. The hub is the center of the day and night time drinking scene in downtown Tampa. Don't be surprised to find daytimers stop by for a lunchtime or happy hour buzz. And when all the St. Pete bars close, the Tampa crowd heads there for the last call of the night.
Who you can find there: swing dancers after the sock hop, roller derby ladies after a workout on the rink, indie hipsters, career drinkers, a bum who just scored a few bucks from begging.
The bar can get lively as various groups of folks flow in and out. As for the music, you won't hear any hip hop or top 40 dance tunes. You'll more likely rock out to the Pixies or Jeff Buckley.
