The Tapper Pub is hidden in the back of Britton Plaza,and it could be easy to drive past without noticing their huge sign facing Dale Mabry Highway.  From the front of the building, the bar looks like any dive bar, but the interior is surprisingly cozy.  Patrons can saddle up to a bar stool, or have an intimate lunch with a friend in one of Tapper's wood-finished booths.

The menu consists mainly of sandwiches, but there are twenty-five different choices, ranging from American classics like grilled cheese to pub specialties like corned beef or braunschweiger.  The "Fast Snacks" selection on the menu is great for pressed-for-time patrons.  Throughout the week, Tapper offers competitive drink specials: $6 pitchers on Monday, 2-for-1 drinks on Tuesday, $1.50 drafts on Wednesday, $2 domestic bottles on Thursday, and $1.75 domestic bottles on Sundays.
