Two-for-one wells and 35 cent wings on Sundays? Sounds like a party to me at Legends. Drinks: Drinks here are high alcohol content with low cost. Well drinks are two-for-one and there are often drink specials like Bud Select pitchers for $5 and $3 bottles. The two-for-one wells can either be two separate drinks with one shot each or double up on the liquor in one drink. The most popular shot is the Cherry Bomb. The most expensive shot is a shot of Hennessy for around $8. The newest shot is the Dragon Balls of Fire. This deliciously hot drink combines Bacardi Dragon Berry Rum, Sprite, Cranberry and a Bacardi 151 floater that is lit on fire. You will definitely feel the fire in your throat! The signature drink is the delicious Legends Lemonade. Think Sex on the Beach meets Tequila Sunrise. Decor: Dark blue walls and silver air ducts out in the open. Lots of metal and blue colors combine to look like a modern warehouse turned bar. The game room has pool tables, dart boards and foosball tables. The restaurant side has tables and large screen TVs. There are even mini TVs at the booths so you don’t have to strain to watch it. Insider tips: The bar allows smoking, but the good news is Legends is outfitted with some of the biggest smoke eating machines around that make it very difficult to tell smoking is allowed. Smoking is only allowed at the bar area where the smoke eating machines are installed. I spoke to several people in the restaurant area who had no idea smoking was allowed at all because they couldn’t smell it. Busiest night is Saturday. Kitchen closes as late as 1 a.m. some nights depending on how many people are ordering. If no one is ordering, it could close as early as 11 p.m. Service: Not so great when the place gets busy. The drinks and food are awesome. It just may take awhile to get your order filled. Sounds: During the day expect to mainly hear whatever sporting event is being broadcast at the time. At night the music varies from top 40 hits to hip hop to Reggae. The bar manager said they may even bring in DJs for some of the evenings when the bar transforms into a club. Bottom line: If you want to catch a good game and get some drinks and a meal for under $20 this is the place for you. There is a lot of variety to Legends and it is a great place to hang out for a while. Watch the game, play some pool and follow it up with some club style beats. The damage: Drinks range from $3-$8 and the food prices range from 35cent wings on Sunday and meals $5-$10 the rest of the time. Dress code: Didn’t appear to be one, but keep in mind Legends transforms into a club on Friday and Saturday night so wear your club gear for that. 1339 E.
