The Boneyard brings in a diverse crowd from the goths, to punks, to South Tampa's trendy finest. One step in the door will tell you that this place ain't your average Ybor hangout. It's dimly lit by Christmas lights hanging from the ceiling and nearly every piece of wallspace is covered with interesting art, including a portrait of the Virgin Mary outline in what else? More twinkle lights. But religious this place ain't either. You'll be more likely to find skulls or garbage pail kid stickers throughout the dive. If you bring a group, there's a great bathroom as a living room set up in the center of the bar. Just get there and see it for yourself.
Unless there's a DJ on duty, the crowd can always be counted on to pick out some interesting tunes from the jukebox, so don't be surprised to hear Type O Negative, The Pixies, and Morrissey back to back.
And if you're hungry, their wings are some of Tampa's best.

Avoid the meat markets on this unguided tour of my favorite Ybor bars. It may make you rethink your image of Cigar City.
