The Boneyard
The Boneyard brings in a diverse crowd from the goths, to punks, to South Tampa's trendy finest. One step in the door will tell you that this place ain't your average Ybor hangout.
The Crowbar is one of the few venues around Tampa that consistently brings in original rock bands. On busy nights, or if you want to give the ringing in your ears a rest, there is some outdoor seating in the large patio area that leads out to 8th Ave.
Enjoy Wychcraft beer, Holy Grail Ale, and Hobglobin Ale all imported from England at this Palm Harbor location. Stick around after Halloween for Witchstock 2008 which takes place from Nov 1st to Nov 2nd.
The Castle provides nights of dancing and drinking for those with darker sensibilities. Expect black eyeliner, fishnets over pale skin, and guys in drag. Here you'll be more likely to see a group of goths or vampires in training than South Tampa's hottest socialites.
This dark, smoke-filled joint holds over 200 people and the stage is home to genres such as hard rock, folk, acoustic, goth-industrial and hardcore that will rock the house.
On Tuesdays, enjoy gothic, Darkwake, EBM, industrial, and Synthpop music spun by local DJs. Different horror movies are shown on the big screen every Tuesday at 8 p.m. with food. Gothic attire is favored, though, you can wear whatever you want.
Tampa's urban chic congregate at this Ybor hotspot, and while it's not as "dark" as the others on the list, it's the events they host that make this place scary. Each year, Erotic Exotic brings crowds to celebrate a scantily clad Halloween.
