Art and music fans converged on the Salvador Dali Museum in Downtown St Pete last week for an extraordinary event. Described as “a young professionals networking event in a unique retro-lounge setting,” RetroMix combined some of today’s best Downtempo beats with the surrealist color and shape made popular by the celebrated artist. Guests attending were treated to great nibbles sponsored by Romano’s Macaroni Grill while roaming the halls of the Dali for a scavenger hunt. Grand prize at the end of the night was a free museum membership. All the while dancing to the sounds provided by DJ Jask.

The event, put on by the Zodiac Group, is just one of many parties and events going on at the museum this summer. Starting next month is the popular series, Surreal Fridays. These weekly gatherings will feature live music from different bands throughout the evening along with a cash bar and finger foods from some of the area’s top restaurants.
