This popular Hillsborough County park lies along the Hillsborough River, east of USF. The 240 acres contain dirt and paved trails for walking, jogging, leisurely biking, roller blading and shelters for picnics. The two boardwalks take you over boggier portions of the river floodplain offering opportunities to view alligators, turtles, anhingas, herons and songbirds. The Tampa Audubon Society operates the nature center just north of the entrance drive (bear left at the T) and conducts monthly bird walks for beginning and knowledgable birders.
