Idol history: The first season’s iconic winner and laughable runner-up whet America’s appetite for all things “Idol.”

Big screen role: Still fresh from the success of “Idol,” the producers thought they could parlay the series into a feature film, with Justin and Kelly playing a modern Frankie and Annette. Unfortunately, it was the worst film ever made.

Will they ever win Oscars? No one is more full of surprises than Kelly Clarkson, so we’d never rule it out. Guarini, however, should just be proud of his two Teen Choice (and two Razzie!) nominations for this disaster.
