Denzel Washington takes on John Travolta in "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3"

Based on a gritty '70s favorite that starred Walter Matthau as a hardass cop, this crime drama marks the fourth pairing for Washington and director Tony Scott (following "Crimson Tide," "Man on Fire" and "Deja Vu"). It's also the first time either one has worked with Travolta, who plays the leader of a band of baddies holding New York subway riders hostage for ransom. Whether or not "Taking" takes, Washington and Scott are already talking about teaming up on a fifth film, the aptly titled "Unstoppable."
