Home to Baby Snoots, the only known manatee with a birthday (July 21, 1949), the Parker Aquarium has acted as a rehabilitation and release center for a number of injured manatees, including Whittaker, Angelito and Newton (all of whom have since been released in the wild). Daily aquarium shows introduce the community to the adorable Snooty, explaining about the life of a manatee, and how we can protect this endangered species.
After exploring the aquarium, make sure to tour the exhibits and collections of the South Florida Museum, and catch a Live Star Talk show at the Bishop Planetarium.
