More than just a museum, DFAC is committed to educational and cultural programs that serve residents of north Pinellas County. In addition to gallery exhibitions of photography, paintings, contemporary pottery, quilts, glass, wood, metalwork and new wave art, the museum holds garden party events, "coffee and conversation" workshops, and numerous classes and camps for all ages. A number of community groups have their meetings here, and the museum even rents out space for birthday and anniversary celebrations, weddings, rite of passage ceremonies, and corporate events.
