Refresh, recharge and discover your inner child again at Great Explorations. Explore hands-on computer animation, robotics, sailboats, a firehouse, a veterinary office, and a lie detector machine. Fit4AllKidsVille is the latest wing, focusing on healthy lifestyles in today's world. Puppet shows occur twice per month in the puppet theater, and a special collaboration with the Tampa Bay Estuary Program educates about the wetland creatures and environment of Pinellas County.
The museum also hosts a "Parents Night Out" on the last Friday of each month. On those nights, kids stay at the museum for the evening, allowing mom and dad some couple time. Additional programs for kids happen after-school, in summer camp, on particular overnights and on field trips.
