Ting Tings rock the Orpheum

I found myself in Ybor City last night, in a little place called the Orpheum, watching The Ting Tings.  What an AWESOME show, in an AWESOME place.  If you have never heard of them, 'Shut Up and Let Me Go' was used for an Apple commerical last year, and you can hear their new single 'Thats Not My Name' on radio right now.  Trust me, you are going to hear a lot about them in the future.

The Orpheum, if you haven't been, looks like it was a model for a 'Rock Band' or 'Guitar Hero' venue.  It's smaller, with not a lot of emblishments, big bar in the back, and no matter where you are in there, you can find a pretty decent spot to watch the band.  I loved it. 

The Ting Tings killed it though!  To be honest, I only know three of their songs.  I've had the CD sitting on my kitchen counter for about three weeks to listen to, but never got around to it.  They had such a high energy set!  Jules was wearing lime green aviator shades and a shirt in the same color, and Katie was rocking hot pink with her black and white striped dress.  He plays drums, guitar and sings, and Katie is lead vocals, plays a little guitar and keyboard.  The crowd was totally digging it  When I go home I immediately put the songs on my iPod, and am currently rocking out to 'Great DJ.'
