The Ford Amphitheatre is the largest outdoor concert venue in the area. It's located at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
The Ford Amp, as it's called by locals, has a variety of seating options. Stationary plastic seats make up the bulk of the venue. In front of the stage there is a pit area that is left open for moshing at rock shows, and filled up with chairs at more tame events. Or, enjoy the show from the lawn behind the reserved seats. The great part is that almost all of the seats are covered with a canopy, shielding concert goers from the sun or rain. This being said, all shows at the Ford Amphitheatre do continue, rain or shine.
