In the U.S., this one’s a squeaker: according to the Recording Industry Association of America, Madonna’s U.S. album sales total 63 million, while Mariah’s total 61.5 million. Worldwide, the contest is a little more clear-cut: Madonna’s album sales are pushing the 150 million mark, while Mariah’s are hovering just shy of 100 million.
