The Southside version of the local CDB's restaurant chain now shares in the over 30-year-old tradition of celebrating Italian food, family and friendship in Tampa Bay. Located on Howard Ave, CDB's Southside gives the vibe of a big city loft with exposed brick walls and casual setting for good eats (and two bars for good drinks, too).

CDB's famous pizza is made in three sizes with either red or white sauce and choice of additional toppings as well as specialty pizzas like the CDB Special (pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, meatball and sausage), the Vegetarian Special, the A-T-FM (artichokes, tomatoes and fresh mushrooms) and the Meat Lovers Special.

The sandwiches here are known as Grinders and come in Oven Hot varieties topped with marinara sauce and provolone, or with lettuce, mayo, tomato and provolone cheese served in either "Grande," or the even larger "Colosso"-size.

The menu also includes "Pasta Your Way" (choose the type of pasta, sauce and toppings), stuffed shells, baked penne, and varieties of manicotti, ravioli, lasagna, as well as steak, veal, lamb, chicken, seafood and heart healthy and vegetarian options like the Vegetarian Parmigiana. And for the indecisive customers, the CDB's Dinner Sampler might be the way to go.
