English Pub?? Sorta. Delicious?? Most definitely!

Came in thinking that the environment was going to be the typical, run of the mill pub with some good, homey food. I was dead on accurate with the food but the place was actually upscale and cozy...like a fine dining restaurant masquerading as an English pub. The decor was sophisticated but not pretentious with 60's mod photographs and a mashing up of collected artwork. The service friendly and the wine/beer list was extensive but approachable. The food? Oh wow - the typicla English pub fare, such as fish and chips, which my date had, was a perfectly seasoned breading around moist cod. And we got the sweet potato fries in lieu of the regualar "chip" and those were excellent, as well. I was surprised by the eclectic menu, as I had the Thai Curry Shrimp with sauteed buttered spinach and black rice. Delish!
