Grille One Sixteen's non-descript exterior (you may have to look twice to find the entrance) gives way to a modern and chic interior. Billowing white curtains partially obscure leather booths bordering one wall, the bar spans the opposite wall and a laid-back lounge - surrounded by tables - commands the center of the room.
The fare is New American cuisine - steaks, seafood, chicken and pork taken up a notch. Appetizers are oversized, sides serve several. Fresh doughnuts are a favorite dessert but the sampler offers a sweet ending. The after-diner crowd dresses well and sips wine and martinis.
