Italian Lemon Drop

The taste: While lemon drop martinis are not necessarily a new concept, the Italian Lemon Drop presented by Charlotte introduces a tasty ingredient: Limencello. It seems like a straightforward component: Italian restaurant. Italian cockail. Italian liqueur. Yet, so many other recipes combine vodka, sugar, and lemon, rather than the sweet sophistication that Limencello awards.
The cocktail reminded me of lemon drop candies: tangy, cool, and refreshing. And with a taste sweet enough to cover the alcohol, this drink may take you all the way to the Amalfi coast!
