Cappy's Pizza
Touted by many as the best pie in town, Cappy's serves up kitschy ambiance with each slice. The neighborhood pizza joint sits on the corner of Florida and South streets in the heart of up-and-coming Seminole Heights. There you'll likely find yuppies and indie-rock hipsters gathered in over-sized booths. While you wait, look up to find a model train chugging along the ceiling.
The tables themselves are conversation starters. Each is a glass case filled with toys and memoribilia to stir up nostalgia of what life was like before the Xbox or internet. Outside seating is also available in the courtyard area underneath several canvas cabanas.
At Cappy's you can choose from the thinner New York style and the tall-crusted Chicago style. Their house specialty is the "Cappy" a pie topped with pepperoni, ham, onion, green pepper, sausage, and mushrooms. Salads, oversized calzones, and breadsticks are also on the menu.
But buyer beware: bring your cash. They won't take your charge card. An ATM machine is available inside.

Weekend with the girls
Sex and the city, we are not. One of my college friends visiting this weekend is majorly pregnant, one has a toddler, the other is a newly wed. And then there's me, under pressure to create the most awesome Tampa itinerary ever.
