The owner of Maya's will tell you Happy Hour is whenever he feels like it! This colorful café is located close to the campus of the University of South Florida and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and perhaps happy hour!) seven days a week. Among the specialities: Maya's Breakfast: A burrito of scrambled eggs, onions, peppers and chorizo served with toast and fries. The Botana Maya's is an appetizer of breaded shrimp, spicy wings and empanadas. Other house specialties include Maya's Carne Asada or Maya's Mar y Tierra: grilled steak with shrimp. Patrons also rave about the tortás - Mexican sandwiches - served here (with a side of fries).
