Cheap Eats: El Cap

I tried El Cap and was very disappointed. Greasy, small and they charge for everything. The place is a cool space though and I enjoyed having a beer outside, but the food was just plain bad. Better burgers in ST Pete - try Chattaways or Dairy Inn, both have been around a long time with out all the hype.

I LOVE El Cap!! I'll comment on the taste of the burgers. They are delicious! They truly tast homemade! And they look homemade. Not like chain restaurants where it looks like it's cookie cutter made. Soooo good!

Like, I've been to a lot of places and have yet to find like, the perfect burger. It's disappointing that you didn't mention how the burger tasted or like, how it was ordered. I mean, I've heard mixed reviews about their burgers. One of my friends said it was way over-cooked and crunchy and said the service was poor. Another said it was pretty decent, but the extra costs seemed a bit ridiculous. I think your rating is a little too kind for your review. It's not a fine dining restaurant. And after all, you said you weren't impressed.
