Misnomers aside, Cheap isn’t about cost. It’s about being another yupscale hangout than carving out low-priced deliciousness on the culinary landscape. It is somewhat affordable, much less than you’d spend other nearby restaurants.
Owned by the poobahs o’ swank behind Hyde Park Cafe, Kennedy and Whiskey Park clubs, Cheap occupies the old brick Cappy’s space next to Dubliner. It offers upwardly mobile Tampa peeps a fun but sexy twist on munchies and mingling. The food has flair and there’s plenty of eye candy between portions.
