South Florida Museum's digital full dome planetarium offers impressive presentations of light and sound with special shows like the Rock Hall of Fame and Infinity Express.  Kids will be giddy over the Secret of the Cardboard Rocket (one of the most popular shows that adults secretly enjoy too), and for the more traditional, the Bishop Planetarium features daily Live Star Talks, the old fashioned way, where guests can ask questions to the presenter about astronomy while learning about planets and constellations. 

Adjacent to the planetarium is a museum store, where you'll find an array of educational toys, souvenirs, and gifts.  Entrance fee includes a visit with Snooty at the Parker Aquarium, as well as the opportunity to visit one of Florida's oldest and most diverse natural and cultural history museum.

For lunch on the water, Mattison's Riverside is walking distance from the Planetarium, and close to Historic Main Street and area shops.
