Tech gifts you'll need to stay in the game
3. Wii music
No, the Wii is not a new tech product. We know that. But there is a new Wii game coming out, that is going to be the hot videogame. It's called Wii Music, and it's sort of like if you mixed Rock Band with a jam band.
There's no time that you have to hit specific buttons, like in Guitar Hero, which, for me, means that I will never be kicked out of the "band." Instead, you use the Wii-mote, nunchucks and balance board to control your six-person band of Miis, and jam out. You don't have to pick just from the normal instruments, like guitar, drums and bass. Here you have more than 60 instruments to choose from, including the sitar, cowbell and marimba.
It's also important to note that there are several old-school Nintendo games available for the Wii, including Mario Kart and The Legend of Zelda, which are awesome for anyone who grew up in the '80s.
Cost: Wii, $249.99, games under $60. (The Wii Music isn't out yet, so we don't have a definite price. But it should be under $60.)
