Gorilla Theater - Tampa, FL 33614 | Metromix Tampa Bay

Gorilla Theater

Gorilla (not Guerilla) Theater is a place where Tom Stoppard meets Groucho Marx to collaborate with Johann Sebastian Bach. It is the playhouse of playwrights Aubrey Hampton (of Aubrey's Organics) and Susan Hussey (playright and actor). Both have successfully produced plays in New York as well as Tampa, and write books and poetry, too. The Gorilla is a showcase for their work, but each season also features other prominent and alternative writers, staging everything from readings, to one-acts, to full-length plays. Keep an eye on their MySpace page for the latest show announcements.
