American Stage is Tampa Bay's longest running professional theater company. The season starts in September and ends in August producing approximately eight shows for general audiences. Many are former Broadway or off-Broadway musicals and dramas by well-known playwrights - Pulitzer and Tony award winners - which has been the key to the company's long-term success. Celebrity names, including Shakespere's attract audiences.
American Stage also conducts acting programs and camps for children and opportunities for them to meet theater professionals and get involved in stage show production.
