The second oldest performing arts organization in the state of Florida, The Sarasota Players Theater first opened it's doors back in 1930. At the time, performances consisted of short one-act plays. Since then, the theater produces a host of Broadway enviable musicals, dramas, comedies and classics like The Tempest, The Good Body and If the Devil Could Fall in Love.
The Sarasota Players Theater has also hosted large community events like the Chinese music Festival, Black History Month, Big Band festivals, as well as a diversity of opera, concerts, and world music.
