Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift has a multi-platinum album, was the highest selling artist in 2008, and her recent hit, "Love Story" had the most paid downloads in history for a country song. But is that enough for Swift? No! So this Thursday, Swift makes her TV acting debut with a guest role on "CSI: Cime Scene Investigation."
Just don't expect to see the goldilocked sweetheart we all know so well. Swift plays Haley Jones, a troubled teen (are there any other kinds on procedurals?) who meets the CSI team after a series of murders at her parents' motel. Swift's character is dark, deeply tormented—and has an affinity for nose piercings.
The 19-year-old country singer has appeared on MTV's "Once Upon a Prom," and the "Jonas Brothers: 3D Concert Experience." She also had a role in "Hannah Montana: The Movie."
In an interview with Katie Couric in February, Swift admitted that "CSI" is her favorite show, and said she has always dreamed of playing a dead body on the crime drama. (See kiddies? Dreams do come true!)
Here's a sneak peek of Swift's episode from CBS.
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" airs Thursday, March 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
